Henry & Co. was founded by Thomas Bennett. Thomas Bennett is a senior business lawyer with a higher business degree from Said Business School at Oxford University, a suite of higher legal and business qualifications in the fields of corporate finance, data protection and cyber security and practical business and legal knowledge developed over a career advising businesses and the people who own and run them.
Thomas started his legal career as a solicitor in a magic circle law firm specializing in cross-border banking and corporate finance law. For a number of years, he was a senior corporate law, treasury and finance specialist in the Corporate Finance, Treasury and M&A group at Rolls-Royce Group PLC, where he engaged with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, local and international, on many matters, working with private companies and at a group (FTSE100) public company level.
Since founding Henry & Co., Thomas has developed a deep and wide legal expertise, which includes corporate governance and compliance, corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, debt financing and currency law, equity financing and venture capital law, cyber and data protection law, maritime security law, the laws relating to investment funds and corporate and investment tax. He has acted as the outsourced general counsel for several companies in diverse sectors and works predominately with senior stakeholders in private concerns.
His sectoral expertise includes physical and digital engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data management, finance and treasury management, currency management, maritime security, data and cyber security, sports, fitness and hospitality, health and well-being, wellness, recruitment, and professional services. He has often been at the intersection of existing and developing markets where new law is being formed as markets change.
